The Washington State Chapter of the Minuteman Civil Defence Corps commenced northern border watch operations on October 1st, 2005. Many of our members also participate in border watch operations in Arizona and California. In addition to border watch operations we have been and continue to be very active politically in regard to State legislation concerning illegal aliens and border security. We have a vibrant chapter with male and female members from all walks of life located throughout the State. Our demands of our elected officials continue to be: ENFORCE OUR LAWS! SECURE OUR BORDERS NO AMNESTY! Current Leaders: State Director, Joe Ray: Joe is a retired U.S. Navy veteran residing in Yakima, WA.. National Vetting Officer, Hal Washburn: Hal is a Marine Corps veteran, having served in Marine Corps intelligence during the Cuban missile crisis. Hal resides in Olalla, WA. Volunteer Coordinator, Ray Knight: Ray is a military veteran with prior law enforcement experience. Ray makes his home in Liberty, WA. This website is under constant construction. Please call or e-mail State Director Joe Ray with any questions. Founding Leader: Claude LeBas, is a native American Indian with dual Canadian and American citizenship. He is also a highly decorated and disabled Vietnam veteran. While serving in the U.S. Marine Corps he was awarded the Navy Cross for extraordinary heroism in action against the enemy. Claude is an Original Minuteman from the April 2005 Arizona border operations.
